Since its beginning, Capoeira Mandinga Shanghai has performed many times around Shanghai. We love to perform and promote our art when ever we have the chance. Please contact us if you would like us to perform for your event.

What types of performances?

We have performed in commercial venues, charitable events and promotional activies. Most commonly we perform for night clubs, international schools and self promotional events in public venues. Performances are always tailored to their target audiences. They can range from high intensity and acrobatic to educational and personal and can span from 5 minutes to complete afternoons.

Dancing

The most common expression of Capoeira is dancing. Capoeira involves two combatants who dance in a playful buy martial way. Most performances fully incorporate this expression of Capoeira.

Music

Traditional Capoeira incorporates singing, dancing and music performed by participants. Performances can include either live singing and music or recorded music for projection over stereo or P/A systems.

Gratuities

Capoeira Mandinga Shanghai is an unofficial non profit organization. One of our goals is to increase membership and share the art of Capoeira with those around us. But we use performances as a way gain much needed financial support for our organization. While there is no set fee for performances, we do expect gratuities for performances incorporated in to promotional events. We have less expectations for gratuities for performances for charitable, self promotional and educational events. Gratuities are based on length of performance, number of performers, amount of coordination and financial strength of event coordinators.
